Kustom Kombi Konversion Clause Kombi’s love of all things Kombi began with this first purchase of a 1957 Volkswagen Custom Bus (Kombi van) in early 1972. He spent two years restoring it and traveled around the Australia coastline for the following five years, surfing and chatting to fellow Kombi lovers, often offering mechanical advice and ideas for improvements.
